I should be Happy
Do not tell me I should be happy.
You know nothing of the burdens I face,
The struggles I endure every single day,
Living this harsh reality I call existence.
Do not tell me I should be happy
If you’ve never felt the grip of anxiety—
A force that consumes me,
Day in and day out.
Do not tell me I should be happy.
I will find my way through.
Happiness isn’t something to be declared;
It should radiate—
In expressions, postures, eyes, and gestures.
My happiness will come,
Because I am a fighter,
And I will win this battle with life.
