I begged for you to stay.

I begged for your love, the way I loved you.

I begged for your kisses, your hugs,

Your compliments, and your pride in me.

I begged for you to post me,

To hold my hand in public,

And to listen when I was upset.

I begged for your calls, your texts,

And your attention.

I begged for you to join my family,

And to let me meet yours.

I begged for you to stay.

But you still left.

Your words, "You're not worthy,"

Still echo in my mind.

And you made sure I believed them.

Now, all I’m left with is pain.
